Find your zen with a few drops

CBD is now making headlines all over the world, especially since the UN has stamped its approval over the compound. Further, the EU has also granted CBD a non-toxic compound status. You might have heard an acquaintance talking about his or her experience with this wonder oil. But it is always necessary to get the right information about it.

How it actually works as a wonder within it..

CBD or Cannabidiol is one out of over hundred chemical compounds (cannabinoids) from the cannabis sativa plant. It's a natural substance that's used in products like oils and edibles. It relieves pain, imparts a feeling of relaxation and calmness, and has a wellness effect on the entire body. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is another cannabinoid in hemp, CBD is not psychoactive. With CBD oil, you cannot feel inebriated.

Cannabidiol seems to prevent the breakdown of a chemical in the brain that affects pain, mood, and mental function. Cannabidiol might also block some of the psychoactive effects of THC. Also, cannabidiol reduces pain and anxiety.

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS)

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a collection of cell receptors and their corresponding molecules in our body. The ECS is accountable for regulating and maintaining various important key purposes of the human body. When this system is in balance, we experience a relatively stable internal state that persists despite changes in the world outside, which is called homeostasis. This means that at this stage the body performs at optimal levels.

Manufactured internally by the human body from foods like fatty acids

Naturally occuring in hemp & cannabis plants.

The ECS works through two types of receptors found in our body:
CBI & CB2 Receptors

Peripheral Nervous System

Cannabinoids such as CBD and THC bind to these receptors in the human body such as the CB1 and CB2

Why CBD in MCT oil?
Several studies have proven that if CBD is taken directly without an oil base, the bioavailability tends to be lower. Cannabinoids are fat soluble. Hence, we use an oil carrier like MCT (coconut) and mix it with hemp leaf extract so it is better absorbed and processed by the body, thus, increasing its bioavailability.
The distilled CBD oil is to be held 15-20 second under your tongue for maximum results. Once you take in the CBD oil under the tongue, this method allows the CBD to be directly absorbed in the bloodstream and its absorption is much more rapid than through the metabolic system. Hence, this might be the best option if you want quick relief.

Traditional oil-based formulas are used for this process, out of the wisdom of Ayurveda.
